Originally built as a diesel truck repair garage, the property at 7425 Dodge had been poorly renovated and updated as a retail use building. Bourne Properties, a Tucson, AZ development company, purchased the property for its location. However, they soon realized the exterior was a detriment to bringing in quality tenants and customers.
AO worked to not only re-clad the building, but also raise its presence on the busy corridor. The north bay was demolished and a smaller bay was added onto resulting in a rectangular building with an ideal mix of bay sizes.
The new exterior walls were extended with higher corner accents to compensate for the site’s lower elevation while the simple materials in uncommon configurations create a visually stimulating facility.
