Reclaiming a long abandoned parking lot adjacent to a major arterial road, Advanced Prosthetics’ goal was to create a highly-visible building that promotes its patient care services.

For this reason, the corner of the building opens up to the intersection. The large physical therapy area has obstacles and stations to simulate everyday challenges for their patients. This room is open to the exterior to give the feeling that the patients are connected to the community, not isolated as they overcome their disabilities. The close proximity to the rest of the program allows Advanced Prosthetics to provide excellent follow-up care. The remainder of the building has fabrication, storage, offices, and core functions.
