William Stott

“I wanted to be an architect for as long as I can remember. I don’t think I ever wanted to do anything else.”

A childhood affinity for LEGO-based design and frequent trips to the airport – just two of the things that inspired William “Bill” Stott to pursue what’s become a decades-long career in architecture.

“My Dad travelled a lot when I was a kid. I remember memorizing the route to the airport based on buildings and landmarks. Because of that, I think structures and buildings and their relationship to the environment have always been important to me.”

A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with both a bachelor and master degree in architecture, Bill has been an integral part of AO for more than two decades.

“This firm is based on the creative process – and we’re very team oriented with how we approach design. So you get the best of the best every time a project comes through: the best ideas, the best concepts. Everyone has different strengths. One of mine is in ‘big picture concept’ master planning and strategic thinking.”

Bill is actively involved in the Omaha community beyond designing the built environment. The husband and father of two graduated with the Greater Omaha Chamber’s Leadership Omaha Class 30 and has dedicated his time to an array of organizations including, Lutheran Metro Ministries, Boy Scouts of America, the Dundee Merchants Association, and the Dundee Business Improvement District.
